I have just ordered the ungalvanised cage from the website you suggested. They look good on the photos and they are so much cheaper than the ones in Pets at home.

    thanks - you're a star :)

I must say a big thank you to Chez22 for recommending a great site for dog cages (www.doghealth.co.uk). I cannot believe how thick the bars are - it's brilliant quality ... and all for £25.

    Thanks Chez

Thanks for that Ibt. Good to have a recommendation supporting someone elses suggestion - especially since I'm not buying mine till July/August!

  • I would suggest buying the bigger size first when you buy a crate. You can always partition it off when the pup is smaller. We bought a 36" one initially for our Lab who decided there wasn't enough room in there and wanted a larger one...we then got a 42" one for her which she is still in aged 9.5 months.

The first one we got was a flimsy Ebay jobbie which she learned to escape from. The second a chunky Savic one from PAH :)

The dog crate I bought came with a partition that you can use to make the cage smaller too. :)
