Suggest you send EA copy recorded delivery.
Vendor more difficult if both out working all day recorded delivery could cause problem rather than be a help. Would be tempted if property not far away to drop in thro letterbox myself, that way you would know it had definately been delivered. If you do this make sure you don't come into contact with vendor, EA would see that you had used letter a a means to by pass him
