I see from www.barclays.co.uk today that the rate has dropped on this ISA to 0.10% for balances of 18k plus, Ive held my Cash ISA with them since 1999 when I used funds from my matured TESSA to open the account, now is the time to move I think.
I called there savings people before and told them I was disgusted that this how they treat customers like myself and don't allow us to move our existing ISA funds into the Golden ISA or indeed offer us an incentive to stay with them.
The reply I received was that the Cash ISA remains competitive, obviously they have not checked the Natwest E-ISA or other ISAs which allow transfers and pay substantially more interest !!!
I mentioned transferring and the telephone advisor then stated there might be a delay, wonder if this a stalling tactic to call your bluff? So i told him that I would be complaining if it takes longer than 30 days to complete. On the flipside of the delay it seems a lot of customers have given up on getting a fair deal from them and are moving there accounts if there are delays, whatelse can we do though when Barclays seem to not want to reward loyalty for sticking with them for Nine Years...
