Paypal generates an email to buyers with the tracking details. This cetainly acts as a deterrent to scammers.

At the bottom of the paypal transaction page there is an option to add tracking information.

But the 13 digit tracking number in mark as sent and it will generate a paypal email to the buyer with all the tracking information. Puts scammers off, IMHO, knowing that paypal already have all the tracking info.

Thanks everyone for your comments....Pleased to report that Ebay handled this one really well. I got a £20 voucher for my inconvenience, and the other party is now no longer a registered user...well under that ID anyway.
