Thank you for all the replys. Be careful out there.
Farquarpigmix, still looking for a bargain.
Limassol is ok but not brilliant. Beaches aren't upto much compared to Ayia Napa or Coral Bay, Limassol is also more expensive to eat and drink compared to Napa or Paphos. Less things to do in Limassol, in fact only reason to stay in Limassol is it being centrally located on Island for sightseeing.
IMHO you want Paphos area for older quieter generation or Napa for Nightlife and good beaches.
Oh and i live not far from Limassol and have done for the last 3 1/2 years0 -

Hi Wagster, Am not that old. Only a young 44. So your saying to look towards paphos or napa. Just looking for somewhere to surpise my other half. You don't do B&B do you? LMHO.
Jealous now that you live there. Anyway thanks for reply and I hope you enjoy that nice weather. Starting to get warm over here now, in between the rain and snow.
Be careful out there.

Hi there,
We went to the Intercontinental Hotel which is situated between Limasol and Paphos, 5*, it is fantastic! The only downside is, it's about 30 minutes from town centres, so you may need to hire a car. Other than that, the accomodation is of very high quality, the food at the restaurant is great! We got this deal through last minute.com, in their special offers section.
Here is a list of other good websites (make sure you look in their special offers, to get the best deal):
o https://www.expedia.co.uk
o https://www.lastminute.com
o https://www.opodo.co.uk
o https://www.quovadistravel.co.uk
You might want to look into that.

Oops sorry I haven't replied sooner! We went to Limassol several times and had a great time, it is quite built up though and a big town, lots of traffic, the beaches aren't as good and on our last trip there alot of the restaurants we used to go to had closed/been taken over by chains such as Starbucks, etc.
Really depends on the type of holiday you want, but personally if I was to recommend to a friend it would definately be Ayia Napa or Paphos although alot of Cyprus is great.........
