Distance Selling regs give you 7 days to return internet purchasesLife should be a little nuts; otherwise it's just a bunch of Thursdays strung together.0 -
Matalan are making further reductions to their current sale items on 8/1/5. They are also adding homewear items to the sale on the same day.
Clarks have reduced the majority of their sale items by a further 20% today and have added some ladies boots to the sale too.
;D ;D ;DSometimes it's important to work for that pot of gold...But other times it's essential to take time off and to make sure that your most important decision in the day simply consists of choosing which color to slide down on the rainbow...0 -
Distance Selling regs give you 7 days to return internet purchases
Just to add to Benji's post. Under the Distance Selling regulations 2000, you can return most goods for a full refund, for any reason, within 7 days from the day after delivery. The goods must be in original packaging, and for DVD's, Games, CD's or other obviously copyable media, must still be sealed and unused. There are other exceptions to the rules, such as pierced earrings and underwear, but generally most items are covered. These Regs apply to any purchases made where you do not physically visit a shop, e.g. mail order, over the phone, TV shopping channel. Any goods returned under this rule, the trader can charge you reasonable postage costs. These regulations do not cover faulty goods, which are covered by The Sale Of Goods Act 1979 (as amended).
As for refunds, there is no legal obligation for a trader to refund for goods which are not faulty. If they do advertise any such policy, then this must be honoured, but they are not required to do so, whether you have a receipt or not.I haven't been asked to tell you that I'm the Board Drunk for this board. As the night wears on, my posts will become worse, with simple spelling mistakes, inane ramblings, and a blatant disregard for the truth. I have no authority to do anything, so there's no point asking or telling me. If you see me past midnight, please tell me to get my coat and order me a taxi.

If you spend over £100 they give you a 51% discount. Its a slightly odd offer but it works. They don't do the discount until you are checking out, but before you input payment details. it might pay to do a test run first to see how it works out.0
