Contacts list
Hello all you mobile experts out there, I've just ordered a new nokia 6230i and have a samsung D500 at the moment.
My problem is that all my contacts for some reason, are stored on the D500 phone, not the sim. Is there any way I can transfer them to my sim so I can just swap it to the new phone, rather than having to do the list all over again on the new phone?
I notice that I can transfer from sim to phone, but not the other way around.
Thanks in advance for any help you can give me out there in cyber world

I don't know about those phones but other phones I've had it has been possible to copy to SIM and then from SIM to new phone.
If not, do both phones have bluetooth? You might be able to send address book from one phone to the other using bluetooth.0 -
Ah great I'll try the bluetooth route. The sim does not have any contacts on it, they're saved on the phone, but I want them on the sim! I could re-write them all onto the sim 1 by 1, but there's hundreds and I wanted a quick win and do them all in one go. Lazy, I know!!!!
Cheers,

On sony ericsson phones (and I think siemens as well) it is possible to copy ALL to SIM or ALL from SIM in one go. Is that not possible on yours?0

No, it only has the copy 'all' from sim to phone, not the other way around. I know you can on nokias!!!!!

Rather than copying your numbers to your SIM, why not just send your contacts directly from your D500 to your 6230i? There should be an option in your contacts/phonebook options to "Send all contacts" by infrared or bluetooth. This is what I always do when I get a new phone.0

Thanks for that Jelly Bean, I've been throught the whole phone and the handbook, but can't find a place to do this, only 1 by 1.........sooooo frustrating. I tried to bluetooth them from the D500 to my pc in readiness for bluetoothing them to the new phone, but the PC would only take them 1 by 1 too!!!! Looks like I'll be doing it all manually tomorrow night. Looks like I'll have to settle down with a bottle of wine and about 3 hours of beeps!!!!!
