Does smokeless fuel cost less in the summer?

I'm hoping to stock up on logs and coal using my 'In Credit' money from the gas/electric account during the summer months. Can anyone tell me, if I can expect much of (if any) difference in summer v winter prices? When I was a child my parents allows bought as much as they could afford in the summer as it was a lot cheaper, but I don't know if that still applies? I can't believe it is the 1st June already!!

Oh, I see it moved itself, sorry!
I find that it isnt cheaper in the summer any more - it certainly used to be - but the price almost always goes up again in the autumn - I try and stock up as much as poss in summer - thats for smokeless. Logs here are pretty much the same year around

Traditional coal merchants do still offer summer discounts, but they tend to be pretty minimal if my local one is an example!
I have seen small log suppliers offer summer deals too. Summer is a good time to buy logs as they always need a good deal of seasoning and now's the time.0
