Tesco 2 burner gas bbq with side burner

Have just bought gas BBQ with side burner model no. ER8203C from tesco. It says to use propane gas but the connector does not fit. I went back to Tescos but like the instruction leaflet they were no help. I've been to B+Q (very helpful although problem not resolved) and local hardware shop. Does anyone know if I need to buy something for it or what gas I should actually use? Or does anyone have one that is working? Thanks.

You need a gas bottle with a clip on valve for most gas bbqs. They go by the name patio gas if they are calor ones, or there are various other brands.
If you have a bottle of propane with a screw connector you could buy a new regulator and fit it to the barbeque hose, or if you only just got the bottle hand haven't used it, take it back and ask them to swap it. The ones with the clip on valve are usually a few quid more expensive.0
