FE Good luck with the IVF.
Spent yesterday in Newcastle- got DD (20) some groceries as she has been so busy with exams she had hardly any food in. She now has fruit juice, salad, lots of fruit and veg, quorn, cheese and fish.
We had lunch and then had a look round the city and had a really good day.
My computer is still acting up so borrowed DD's laptop to say hello and send hugs to moneysavingdiva,Jackie O and anyone who could do with one.

Afternoon all,
Another glorious day here to-day, having a barbie this evening for dinner, saves messing up the kitchen
Taplady and Haribo, hope that you both feel better soon.
Hermoine....would love to get my eyes lasered, not got the money at present....well, I want it for other things but it is definitely on my list of things to save for, if I am suitable, have hated glasses for the fifty years I have been wearing them.
The kittens have been out all morning, they have now decided to take cover under the decking and won't come out....DD4 has had to go out for a while so will leave them until she comes back, have left the back door open in the hope that they will find their own way in.
Diva and Ladymay, nice to see you both back
OH watered half the garden earlier, I will do the other half later on....we use well water for the garden so don't like to do too much at a time...wish that I could say like others that it is nice and tidy out there, just haven't seemed to stay with it this year....veg are doing all right and being kept clear but the rest is like a jungle.
Have a lovely afternoon all, hugs to those in need or want,

HI, I've been MIA over the last week as we've had visitors. So today has been spent trying to catch up with everything I should have got done last week - I've even joined the flylady thread. It's been so hot we even managed to put our sail shade up which was fantastic. I want to try to send off for some seeds this week as I've pulled the front garden to pieces. Thompson & Morgan have a half price sale on at the moment so will have a look there. I've got a busy time this week, with several appointments and a school trip. Dinner tonight is left over beef made into a pie. HUGS to all that need them0

Hi all
What a lovely day again. Spent most of the day unpacking, washing after weekend away and getting it out on line to dry........ and posting some of the pictures taken on Facebook!!:D
Just had tuna salad for tea as too hot to do anything else but it was really lovely. Brought soda bread back from Ireland with me as I love the stuff so haven't had to make any bread today!:j
Still shattered, didn't realise enjoying yourself could be such hard work;)
Glad to "see" you back Diva and Ladymay.
WS how are you and LB?
((((Hugs)))) to anyone who needs or wants them.
Back to work tomorrow, hopefully feeling more restored than at present!:o
Have a good evening all

No sign of any cherries Pink. We did only have two flowers on the whole tree though :rotfl: We have plenty of raspberries growing, and some blueberries and strawberries. We have rhubarb which is known as "moobarb" by ds (I have explained, but he's not listening)cucumbers and tomatoes. The tomatoes and strawberries are in hanging baskets this year in the hope that they will not be picked one at a time by my assistant gardener, as they were last year.
Last Friday we went to Tatton Park, which was hosting a Grow Your Own theme week for children, so ds is now growing his own "punkin" for halloween. I have a backup pumpkin plant in case his punkin seed doesn't make itHe asked to plant some other seeds too, so I let him sow some lettuce. There's no danger of him eating any, but he will be so chuffed when it grows.
I have been struggling to breathe since last Friday which has been a bit odd. I have asthma, but only usually have bad attacks after a cold or chest infection (and once after sleeping on the floor at a student party when I was 22), but I've never had an attack this bad just for no reason before. Luckily dh is still home on leave. I have been to the doctors today and am fully equipped with steroids and new inhalers. Sadly it has meant that on the warmest weekend of the year so far there was no  for me. Serves me right for being stubborn and not going to see the GP on Friday.....

FE - Good luck with the IVF, I'll be keeping everything crossed for you.
Haribo - Hope you feel better soon....I prescribe a day of sitting on your backside doing something relaxing whilst being supplied with lots of cold drinks and a nicely cooked meal......but back to reality....get some sleep!!!
Well 7am saw us at the docks this morning waving DD2 off to France for a week with the school, yes I know she'll have a lovely time and yes, I do know it's good for her but my goodness I do miss her.
Swished and swiped, dusted and hoovered, washed and put away, cooked and cleared up, weeded and watered. Got chicken out for tomorrow nights curry, bread out for lunch boxes and sorted the ironing out into piles, the sewing machine is out and set up ready for a few jobs tomorrow and I'd now like to go to France and pick her up

Very funny.I made chilli for tea which was met with groans so I decided to be nice and give them all a choice. :A The choice was, they could either eat it or wear it. They chose the former.
Felling a bit better, helped no end by all the lovely wishes on here.
Just took the dog to the park. It's my idea of a heavenly walk as it's built on a hill so I just sit on a bench at the top and throw the ball down. She runs up and downhill until she can barely breathe and then we walk the 50 yards to my front door.Just about to water the garden, bring the laundry in and make the lunches.
FE... Best of luck with the IVF
Cranky... feel better soon. xxx
Hope your DD has a fab time Pooky.
Tru..... I'm waiting????;):p:D

Pooky - Your DD will have a lovely time, i'm sure, though I can sympathise with your wanting to go and pick her up! ((HUGS))
Essex-girl and Haribo - Hope you have a good night's sleep and feel much better tomorrow.
CRANKY40 - wishing you a speedy recovery!
(There seem to be an awful lot of us ill atm!)
Saw the GP about my varicose veins, she says they definitely need treatment and is referring me to a local hosp which isn't our nearest but where she knows there are 2 very good vascular surgeons. i won't be holding my breath for an appointment thoughAnyone on here been able to get laser treatment for varicose veins on the NHS? i really really don't want to have to have them stripped again!

Evening all
Back to work now, so no time to post in the mornings.
Work was full of joy, only 1 out of 4 machines working, funny thing is, some staff members seem to think that shouting at me will get the machines working, still it's hot in my department & very exhausting so I shouted back!
Have a good evening
Hugs Hester
