    :hello:Good morning!

Diva - So pleased to see you are feeling up to posting again, we missed you LOOOOOOAAADS!

JackieO - Good luck at the hospital.Sounds like a busy week for birthdays! Hope your lovely DGSs have a lovely time. We've got a similar week later in the month - sister-in-law, son-in-law1 and DD2 all in the same week - and we will be away then, so will have to try to get organised to give/send presents and cards before we leave.

hermoine - How lovely that you had the laser surgery! I'm too short-sighted to have it done! Was it scary?

nesssie - I misread your post and thought you had been wearing the foghorn :o Obviously I'm not as awake as I thought I was!

taplady - Glad your migraine is feeling better. Horrible things! Commiserations (sp?) to your DH about the pigeons, I hope he won't miss it too much.

beemuzed - Sounds like a busy day with the broom for you then :D

tired mum - Good luck to your DD x

    Penny_Pincher - thinking of you x

Haribo Junkie - Poor you, I hope you start to feel better presently.

Got a doctor's appointment this morning to ask her to refer me to get something done about my varicose veins :( then we will have a trip to Lidl, during which I will be mostly trying to persuade DH to stick to buying only the things on my list

Don't know what's for dinner yet - hopefully I'll know after we've been to Lidl :p

BTW, when we were visiting my DBro in Germany last month I was interested to see that the potatoes were on sale in net bags, so they didn't get all sweaty! Why on earth can't they do that here

Hope everyone has a good a day as possible.

Morning all. Not been on here for a couple of days. Was poorly on Saturday with a yukky stomach bug. Not pleasant. :o

Don't know where the day went yesterday. Had a BBQ for tea and DS11 cooked, he did very well. He has got the 2 leftover quorn sausages in his sandwich today for school lunch!

General housework and tesco run to catch up on today, not very exciting.

    Morning!

So sorry for being MIA so long - after weeks spending my life in the library (oh the joys of 24 hour opening!) and having my nose in the books I'M FREEEEEEEEEE!!!

Haven't caught up on all the gossip yet, so I'll try and pop in later. Plan today is organise my life :p because I haven't gone out in the real world for a while! OS wise, I'm going to a flapper party on Wednesday and I HATE all the horrible costumes in the fancy dress shops, so I'm going to buy a slip and make one with various bits and pieces of fabric.

Hope everybody's good, (((((((((((((hugs)))))))))))))) to anybody who needs one.

    TM xx

Hello, and hugs to those feeling under the weather.DS dropped me off at tesco while he went to get his hair cut and has just picked me upagain.I wanted to pick up a few bits and bats for our trip to France next week.We are only taking hand luggage so I wanted a small toothpaste and deodorant etc so thats done now.Just needto sort out what DH is taking clothes wise.He is throwing a load of old clothes away ( I will save the best for dusters,of course) so need to do that before the bins come tomorrow. Can't send to charity shops as they were work stuff, covered in paint, grout, silicon and various other assorted stains.
DS has gone to meet his girlfriend so they can have her lunchbreak in the park,so may hoover his room while he is out. Then its in the garden for me,snipping away at the wood we cut down yesterday so it'll go in the garden waste bin. We'll save the big branches for burning in the woodburner when its seasoned.

Hello Everyone :hello: I'm back again! (feels like I am a boomerang, the way I fly in and out of this thread!).

Life got very hectic again for a while - so many troubles, trials & tribulations with both DH's family & mine that I could fill several pages, but I won't bore you with them all - suffice to say that things have calmed down a little now and I'm able to get back to some OS, thank goodness :j.

The house is a total mess, as we have hardly been at home recently to do any housework (how can the house get so dirty when there's no-one but the cat in it for most of the time?!?), but TBH I am trying not to worry too much about it - We are in the middle of our 3rd (& possibly last) try at IVF, and I am trying to focus on being stress-free, resting and keeping myself well - unfortunately I have had a chest-infection which is still hanging around and making me feel tired and low, and combined with the hayfever, and the side-effects of the medication, I'm not doing too well at the last one! but trying hard to keep up the PMA....

Had to give up on the Grocery Challenges lately, as our bills have gone up so much now we are trying to stick to organic and eat very healthily - have read a lot about how chemicals, pesticides etc in our food MAY afect fertility, and although I am a born skeptic, am willing to try almost anything at this point....but the price of organic chicken - ouch!

Being OS at heart is a real help, as I can make so many things from scratch and we know what has gone into it - I just wish with all my heart to be an OS SAHM (at least for a couple of years).

Well, I've wittered on enough for now - off to catch up on the threads and see what I have been missing.

    All the best to everyone,
