Cost of posting? Help...

I have sold an item on eBay which isn't really heavy and can fit in a medium-sized jiffy bag.

I live in Birmingham and to send the item first class to most places in England would probably cost about £1.80 MAXIMUM.

However the winning bidder lives in a place called...

"Oban, Argyllshire" which is apparently in Scotland - I have never heard of it.
Postcode - PA37

Looking on google maps, will it cost a great deal extra to send to this place from Birmingham?

Many thanks

    Is this a joke?

Just in case its not, the postage will be exactly the same no matter where in the UK you are posting things. Oban, which is indeed a small town on the West Coast of Scotland is a part of the UK....

I think I worded my original post wrong.

Of course I have heard of Scotland, just not "Oban" in particular.

My brother has been having me on, saying it is in the middle of nowhere which requires a ferry to get to, therefore I thought it migh require more postage costs?

They have electricity and running water in Oban as well as a Royal Mail postal service. Mind you, the running water is also called rain.

They also have a ferry terminal there. We were there a few years ago when we took our kids to Ballamory (actually, Tombermory on the Isle of Mull).

I think there's also a Whisky Distilliary there as well.
