Ironing all done. Just going to put the washing on the maiden and then I think I'll head up and read for a bit, finding my book a bit hard going - anyone read it - Zadie Smith On Beauty

Not read that Dusty...I'm reading Deaf Sentence by David Lodge. Having had a hearing problem in the past some it's having me laughing out loud in places.

Going to check if I finished the washing or not! xx

Me neither Dusty, I'm reading "when will there be good news" by Kate Atkinson and the last book in the Philip Pullman trilogy His Dark Materials, "The Amber Spyglass" Both great.

I'm off to bed now... don't have the energy to tackle the stuff that needs putting away. Hopefully I'll manage it tomorrow (I need to wash gym kit as a minimum ), and then at least things will be in a state that will mean I can get the house clean next week.

My parents are staying next Sunday night, so I have a deadline :rotfl:

Me too Mudders, it's fantastic. I read it with a slack jaw, just staggered by her writing! The opening chapter of her latest novel is really strong!

Sorry missed the offskis.... Night Mudders, night Greenbee. Sleep well.

ssl - why don't you post your steps in your signature too? Maybe it will incentivise you. If you get a new pedometer, make sure that the reset button is recessed so that you can't knock it, or that it has a cover. Try this site for LOTS of ideas!

I might just do that. I ended up buying 3 of the wee ones out of Argos. DD, Dad and Aunt all wanted one. I'll give Dad my freebie one which is rubbish and get him a good one for Fathers Day ;) I'm liking the Argos one so far. Well worth the money. Dont know if I'll splash out on one of the ones from that site. I wouldnt know what to do with them!!

Thanks Soappie, I’ve looked at your pics now. Looks like you all had fun.

I’m reading a !!!!!! Francis at the moment – just read Break In and loved it so am reading another one. I’d forgotten how much I enjoy them. Just ordered a load of books from the library but I’ve made a note of that Behind the Scene at the Museum as it sounds interesting. What’s it about? Is it as the title suggests?

I’ve hung out the washing, eaten DH’s lovely roast pork and cooked a huge amount of pork in a lovely sauce with loads of veg chucked in that can all be frozen. Think I’ll do that in the morning tho as am a bit tired now. Going to bed soon.
