We could actually meet at Brockenhurst if Frodders wants to come by train and walk that little extra bit....

... and then walk back for lunch... blimey, I might even get you to walk FOUR miles :p

I've just realised that I haven't done any gardening, or even done the watering. And I need to make my bed too...

I suppose I should get a move on! Mind you... I've done more flying than I realised!

    Evening all

Haven't made any more progress on my list, not much to finish though. Have been shopping, bought some bits for baby George and booked my train up to see him - I go weds am for a quick overnight :)

Turns out my sister had an even worse time of it than we knew. Didn't know til tonight but she was on the critical list over night. She's still on a drip and will be in for a few extra days but is improving. Poor thing. Baby is doing well though and daddy is being a star and doing all the nappies etc.

Dr was great- I have an appt with specialist at the end of July - booked there and then. HR woman phoned to say my job confirmation letter will be in my pigeonhole tomorrow first thing, so i'll be handing in my notice the minute I can!!
Need to go and make my lunch for tomorrow, I'm low carbing as its advised for my condition apparently so nicoise salad i think.

haven't caught up but hope all are ok and thanks for all the vibes and congrats for my sis.

sounds silly but . . . my house is a mess. Like really bad. Started sorting clothes a few hours ago. Thrown things away, put winter clothes away...blah blah blah. My fella is home in about 30 mins. he hates mess. He asked me to clean b4 he got back. It now looks worse. Do i fiish the one room i started and make it gleam and show my good work in one room, yet there isnt a knife clean, or do i scoot round the whole house and try to make it look a bit better??

    Hi Louise

Where does he go when he comes home - start with the hall and where he will go to use the bathroom, hang his coat and sit down ( the lounge etc) There is a difference between clean and cluttered. Also think about what he needs when he gets home - like cutlery for food and a clean mug for a cup of tea. It would make sense to dump clutter in one room which wont bug your fella but will mean that everywhere is less cluttered.

    HTH

Otherwise - longerterm - flylady is great - i do my housework in 10 min bursts, something every day, - i rope in the OH also - who doesnt mind hoovering.

    Good luck

    Trin

Rach wow sounds like your sister has been through it a bit, will keep her in my thoughts x Hope she's all better soon.

Soappie/Nicki they are on Amazon too. I'm not a 'fashion' person but they are lovely. You get little pandora charms to collect to go on the bracelet, basically making your own collecting them. I have asked for the silver one. Gold charms are like £200 for the nice ones....eeek!!! I had a charm bracelet, well still do, but it's full. Just something I seen and fell in love with. If all else fails and DP doesn't get the hint, ASK DADDY! I did just ask him to get me a charm but he said he'd got the bracelet so I didn't buy one, will be my xmas present too but really chuffed now :)

Not much more accomplished today apart from 3 laundry loads and finding PE kits.

Oh speaking of Daddy, I have to think about something. DPs Dad and step Mam (both lovely, nothing like WIL) have offered to pay for our flights and car hire if we want to join them in Spain for a week in September. They are going out for 6 weeks I think it is. They are not skint but my 'stand on my own 2 feet' is making me want to say no, they are planning on buying a villa out there when they retire (this year) and I think wanted the boys input too as they want them to be able to go out there. None of us have passports, so just one cost I need to find if we say yes (no idea how much they are either but know it's expensive), then dog sitter and spending money. I know the boys would love it, well there is a pool and hopefully we could get them on a plane.......pah can't decide what to do.
One day I might be more organised...........
    GC: £200
Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb

Say yes... you may want to stand on your own two feet, but this isn't about you - it's about your boys and their grandparents. If you can find the money for passports, dog sitter and spending money, then go for it. If they're staying in a villa with a pool, you may not need much spending money anyway.

Small dent made in ironing pile. Must go to bed now as I need to get up for swimming soon
