At the moment the best I seem to be finding are with Three. They have a Nokia e63 smartphone (built in wifi etc) with 75 mins and unlimited txts for £15 a month. SO I may end up stumping for that.
The problem is, I find it difficult to work out how much I would spend a month on pay as you go. Texts are what really costs me. Soe months I may send 200, whilst others I may send in excess of 600, so it depends.
Virgin is a no go for me, there coverage were I live is appalling. The majority of the village has no signal for Virgin mobile.
if your usage is over 600 that would be a £15 top up for 600 "free" texts, now £15 would it buy 75 mins on payg chosen network ?
if it is consider the safety of unlimited texts ?
the bonus being FREE skype, messenger & internetSO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... You will be leaving the UK aswell as Europe

We were looking at this deal & also £20 per month with more texts, minutes & unlimited internet with the E71 handset because we prefer the look of that handset.
We went into 3 last week & quizzed the salesman about the two deals. Along with there being the obvious difference in the tariffs with the cost & minutes etc, he also told us that the E63 doesn't carry WIFI & the camera isn't as good.

I never trust any sales people, they all know absolutely nothing about what they are selling, whether its mobile phones, or laptops in PCWorld. The nokia website says that the e63 has built in wifi, even the three website says so haha. from nokie e63 page; Data network * CSD * HSCSD * GPRS class A, multislot class 32, maximum speed 100/60 kbps (DL/UL) * EDGE class A, multislot class 32, maximum speed 296/177.6 kbps (DL/UL) * WCDMA 900/2100 or 850/1900 or 850/2100, maximum speed 384/384 kbps (DL/UL) * WLAN IEEE 802.11b/g - WLAN Security: WEP, 802.1X, WPA, WPA2 * TCP/IP support * IETF SIP and 3GPP From three website; WLAN:Yes How much internet do you get with the £15 a month contract? I cannot find any information on the website.0

Whoever you talked to clearly doesn't have a clue.. I have the E63 and it definatly does have Wi-fi, amongst a multitude of other things.. Agreed the camera is not that great, but it this is not an issue for me as I have a decent digi camera.
The only thing I will say is about the 'Unlimited' net that 3 are advertising. I got a deal that included this, aparantly, but what it fails to mention is that is at an additional cost of £2.50 - £5 a month, which I am currently arguing with 3 about, hence having to use Wi-fi.0 -
Also forgot to add op that 3 are doing contracts for £9 a month, as well as ones with 6 months contract.0

I'm well aware of the limited knowledge of these sales people-had plenty of experiences of them talking out of their @rseholes time & again.
I usualy know way more about their handsets spec & capabilities than they do, but this time I hadn't researched the E63 as I prefer the look of the white E71.:o
What you said about the unlimited net is a big worry:eek: Keep us posted! Still seriously considering one of these deals, but what you mentioned may be the deal breaker for us.0 -

Just to update, 3 have found out what the problem was, the unlimited net had not been activated.. CS was extremly apologetic, are refunding any money I might have spent on this, and giving me a couple of months free..0
