Would it surprise you, Mr Proud British Gas Employee, to hear that I have received precisely zero phone calls from your 'debt agents'? And if you're so keen perhaps you can tell me why mail from BG always takes a week to reach me?

You are, of course, correct - it is more trouble than it's worth for British Gas to go through the Courts and demand the penalty you owe them. You are out of order, as you have been all along. You deliberately stick your nose into something and, without bothering to establish exactly what the nature of my query is, you make assumptions and act on them accordingly. You represent everything that is disgusting about political correctness in this country.

Also just to add I'm sure if you contacted British Gas to let them know why you were unable to pay at that time they would have put a hold on the account, did you contact them at all?
