I disagree with Experian advertising their credit report as 'free', only to find it's a trial when you reach the end of the application stage.

I've seen adverts saying it's completely free, blah blah. Is it too much to ask for no-frills access to your credit report and credit score without monthly subscriptions, for a low one-off fee.

It is totally free to get access to your report - the call to cancel within a month is also free. If the ratings agencies just gave the files away for free, how would they make enough money to survive?

Not sure if people are aware, experian feeds callcredit and half the time the info is out of date.

That's completely incorrect. If the information held by Callcredit is "out of date", it's purely because organisation have not supplied the relevant updates to all three agencies. If Experian did feed information to Callcredit, it would obviously be exactly the same as the data they hold!

Thats not correct. Experian and Callcredit are separate entities.

Experian is owned by Experian Plc and Callcredit is a divison of the Callcredit Information Group.

OP - The landline number for Equifax Switchboard in Bradford is 01274 759759 and ask to be put through to Personal Customer Services. Usually get straight through on that number ;)
