Contacting Equifax

Options
Hi All,

This is my first post, as I'm really at a loss of where to go. I have my credit reports from both CallCredit and Equifax, nothing too damaging on there - but I can't get hold of Equifax to find out why I haven't received my report even though they have cashed my cheque, I have written to them with no reply and I can't find a phone number for them, can anyone help?

I really need to know why apart from two years missing out of my electoral roll history, I can't even pick up a basic credit card, I even had to jump through hoops for Vanquis!!

Thanks seeya, I've written to them without reply, I was hoping for a contact number, I hate the culture of "we won't answer the phone" with these companies, if I want records I'll record the calls!

You should be able to ask online at:

    https://equifaxuk.custhelp.com/

In the ask a question on you Statutory Report section.

I can't remember, but you may need a previous report reference though.

Last time I had to provide address verification I did it all online through that.

I had the same thing way back with Experian. If you didn't join and pay their monthly fee it was impossible to get a phone number, let alone speak to a human being.

Credit report subscriptions are big business now. They don't really care unless you pay them £X.99 per month.

    Hope the numbers work. :)

I disagree with Experian advertising their credit report as 'free', only to find it's a trial when you reach the end of the application stage.

I've seen adverts saying it's completely free, blah blah. Is it too much to ask for no-frills access to your credit report and credit score without monthly subscriptions, for a low one-off fee.

Not sure if people are aware, experian feeds callcredit and half the time the info is out of date.
