I was nervous when I went back to work, and I'd only been off a couple of years. You'll be fine once you get there
Have you seen the Lone Parent Advisor at the Job Centre? As I'd been out of work and was going back to a job that required business wear, she gave me some sort of clothing grant. I can't remember what it was called, but I got a voucher to spend at Dorothy Perkins. I was allowed to buy 2 smart blouses and 2 smart skirts or trousers with it. It's worth asking to see if you are entitled to anything like that.
Hi becles, yes i got the clothing grant, i got my gear in Dorothy Perkins alsoI've so much to do this week getting my forms back for the Housing benefit office etc. I hope that things go smoothly.
