Help - need to change date of Ryanair flight!

We booked return flights to Treviso for our friends' wedding this September, however due to family illness they have decided to postpone it. We would like to change the flights to Christmas but the ticket prices are confusing to say the least!!
If we try to change the existing booking the new prices are £49.99 outbound and £24.99 return excluding taxes, plus £100 fees (£25 per person each way).
However when we go to the Ryanair page and select the same dates as a new booking, the outbound ticket price is only £24.99 excluding taxes, so 50 quid cheaper than the ticket price if we change!
Has anyone come across this before and has any suggestions for getting round it?
Thanks Px

You could claim the tax back for the flights you didn't take and just book the new flights as a new booking.0

There's no way round it. You can either claim the taxes back (which will be subject to an administration fee) and rebook, or pay the Ryanair charges for changing the dates. It's entirely up to you. From Poland...with love.
They are (they're) sitting on the floor.
Their books are lying on the floor.
The books are sitting just there on the floor.0 -
Last year we had a similar thing happen when a wedding in Italy was cancelled. I tried to change the flights to Spain but although I'd paid £900 for 4 flights to Italy and the flights to Spain were only about £50 each if I just booked them from scratch they still wanted to charge me extra money. I tried to reclaim the tax but they just made it hard work. I didn't bother in the end and just lost the money. I think if you book low cost flights you need to have in mind they are non-refundable.GC Jan £318/£350, Feb £221.84/£300, Mar £200.00/£250 Apr £201.05/£200 May £199.61/£200 June £17.25/£200
