Thats a cool pc mew thanks dude.
now ram prices are well down you can easly upgrade that to atleast 512mb and the monitor can be had for quite less too. and in every pc you can have 2x cd/dvd drives and 2x hard drives so if you allready have these then you are sorted. so For internet and word proccessing it will be great, however even the most powerfull pc of last year will struggle with new games so this wont be an exception as it wont have a dedicated grapgics card then dell doesnt so.

Mmmm only 2 USB slots, Well thats a bummer as a powered USB hub is needed
or the mo-bo will be under some strain... More Ram needed..
But for that price,,,,, wow weee.. thats OK by me.. also what you save
you can easily get a HUB and ram for about anothe r50 quid(ish)
Nice find Mew :T :T :T0 -
Does it have any graphics card ?
Not mentioned anywhere. Probably onboard.
It was £269 with a 17inch CRT monitor

£70.00 for a 17" crt is not bad, pcworld trying to be clever here than ehh says on the add orig price at 280 with voucher 199.
tbh i will get the monitor if its still avail and this over just seems monitor taken off and seems bit of a pcworld trick.

Don't be fooled - Very poor value - tiny hard disk, old processor, only two Usb ports almost certainly not USB - not even DVD writer -
for £40 quid plus del you can get elsewhere, for example :
Athlon 64 3000- 512MB ram - 160 HD, 4 USB ports, DVD+/- R/RW DL Double Layer Dual Drive

Good value for a CRT? er..no...For example Buy a system here and you pay £99 for a 17in TFT -http://www.cube247.co.uk/0 -
Processor is equivalent to a 3GHz Pentium, perfectly adequate for anyone except a hardcore gamer, 40GB is not tiny, DVD writers are now around £20. USB 1.1 is fine for most things.Patr100 wrote:Don't be fooled - Very poor value - tiny hard disk, old processor, only two Usb ports almost certainly not USB - not even DVD writer -

And you're saying that instead of buying a £200 PC, people should spend £340 to get a slightly better PC? So much for moneysaving...!0 -

I misread the difference in price - Ok - I'll go and lie down.
