Oh.....my.....god :eek::eek:
She should be arranging your entire wedding for that price!!
Without it being an obvious point could you not just book in to the salon for a regular appointment early on the day of your wedding?

I have considered that because i really trust her, have been using her for about 7 years now, but it would be 40 minute round trip, on top of the time in there, (and knowing me i will want to go to the reception to arrange the tables in the morning too) just think it would be nice to have someone come to my mums that can fuss over me till the last minute, but obviously that has to be cost dependent.
there is a salon near me, and the owner used to work at my hairdressers salon and was top stylist, so will give her a go, and have a couple of friends who know mobile stylists so may have to build up a relationship very quickly with a random hairdresser. :eek:SPC 18 Target £200 /0 -

I think that was just the way it was set originally.
That said a few people do include Saturdays in this challenge as otherwise it is too easy to splurge on a Saturday. I don't include them - I probably should:o.
If you want to just don't declare your week total until Sunday so you can include your Saturday spends.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
Ok I might do that then, I will probably end up spending some on Saturdays! Especially if it's a night out, like next weekend. Only a meal though and I'll be driving :-)
Thank you for that

ETO - random hairdresser is scary :eek::eek:. I guess you could get it cut with your normal hairdresser the week before so random only has to practise styling it? At least you have a little bit of time for a few practice goes.
Um.... any chance that as you've known her 7 years you could invite her to the wedding and ask her to do it for free ? :rotfl:A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
Hi, I'm new, but I'd like to join in if I may? While I have a lump in my bank account at the moment, it's all earmarked for either car repairs (who'd have a classic eh?) or to be swept into my savings account. So this month I've set myself the challenge of living within my wages (instead of the student loan I now won't be getting again
). After a disappointingly huge phone bill (which I'm taking steps to reduce) I've got an average of £40 to live off til payday. So, my challenge here is to only spend £35 this week!
Our greatest weakness lies in giving up; always try just one more time0 -

I know not looking forward to the random one, am def having cut and colour week before wedding with usual girl, am thinking of having a bridal trial with her, taking photos and taking them somewhere else.
:rotfl::rotfl:
I have thought about all sorts, inc inviting her and even thought about asking her to take annual leave and paying her cash, but still dont think that would be worth her while.
i was hoping she might offer me a deal when i said i couldnt afford her prices.:rotfl: but she just responded really casually.
I'm sure i'll sort something out, but my hair and make up are the two things i want to be really happy and comfortable with. however that does not in anyway mean i will be paying £800.SPC 18 Target £200 /0 -

Well today I've been to Town and resisted so many things! Instead of buying, I paid some money into the bank, ready to transfer to my Loan busting account! Yippee!!!
So spend so far this week...£0 :-)
