    Hi everyone :)

Just a reminder that I'll be unsticking this thread some time late today - by which time it'll be the featured challenge in our Monthly Challenges sticky.

You can find the challenges via the link in my signature any time you see it or...

..you can use the Monthly Challenges link in the Blue Bar at the top of every page which looks something like this:-

    Right then ....

I'm new to this but i think i can make some pin savings.

DH & I gave up smoking today :j (wish us lots of luck!) so i start off with a saving of £70 this month woohoo

I use a lot of coupons etc but never keep track so it will be nice to see actual savings & virtual saving every month.

We are taking the kids on a cheap holiday in June so i'm hoping to use my pin savings as spending money.

I only managed £10 in March, but i'm still happy as it is money i wouldn't have otherwise put away. I am hoping now my morning sickness has gone that i will be able to get back into cooking from scratch, so i am going to try for £25 and then see how it goes. I won't beat myself up if i don't manage it.

    Good luck everyone.

Made my first pin money savings today.

Never used coupons before but checked through papers and couple of magazines and found some. So off I went to Asda and also managed to get some bogofs and reduced items so £5.55 is now in my pin money tin. The girl at the checkout would only take £2 worth of coupons is their limits in other supermarkets?

Great month for a birthday ;) and an excellent reason for saving the pennies! Good luck with your challenge. I'm sure if you look around some of the boards there will be great ideas for pressies for your son as well. But I won't divert this thread else we'll all get in a muddle!!

  • what better motivation than to treat this as serious business. Beginning of financial year starts now so as I have large family and cut back so much [even before I discovered this board I cook with army size pans so OS cooking always the norm] I am going to aim for a £5 stamp weekly at the post office on savings card so can't be tempted til xmas and then I will exchange for shop vouchers. Hope this counts newish here. Good luck all

  • Another win on a local charity lottery; dd1 and dd2 used two virgin sims I sent for with free £5 credit on each; sold a book on amazon and got another £5 voucher from Valued Opinions. Happy Easter everybody!
