We moved a ceiling light last year and had a similar finish to the OP's ceiling. I think my dh used this - and it worked fine.

Btw, that tub is £12.98, not £30.

To get a even consistant finish you will need to do the full ceiling, 5l with do a 4m by4m ceiling
