you make me sick be quite with your sarcastic comments i have NOT recived any other letters! there is nothing wrong with my post i can gurantee this is down to the job center.

I can see how you misread ESAs post but as he has said I do not think he was being sarcastic.

It might be an idea to clarify the meaning of a post first before jumping down someones throat.

    How can you guarantee it?

It always amazes me when someone recieves a reasonable reply that is not giving them what they want to hear they start being rude

I was simply remarking on how many times it seems to happen that benefit claimants dont get the letter telling them to go to an interview but always seem to receive the next letter saying that their benefit has been sanctioned.

Can you explain how remarking in such a way was helpful to the OP and in what way it offered advice to anyone.

Perhaps I am being dense but I am afraid I can only see the mean way of interpreting it. I am perfectly willing to apologise if you can explain how the remark from your earlier post was helpful to the OP or any other benefit claimaints looking for help here.

I dont see how I can say it any clearer than I already have - I was simply remarking that it seems to be a fairly common occurance that people dont get appointment letters but that they do get the subsequent sanction letter.

It wasnt advice, I never said that part of my post was, the advice was in suggesting that the OP contacts Royal Mail to let them know he isnt receiving all of his letters. I also advised that an alternative address can be used if the OP home address isnt safe for mail being delivered. That is fairly standard advice when someone reports such a problem.

Although, and I am sure that I have got jox wrong here, but it did appear that he is accusing the Jobcentre of either incompetence or of deliberatley concocting this whole scenario so that he would get sanctioned. That would surely be awful luck after what happened at his medicle (sic).

If you have evidence showing this is a common occurance you should definitely inform someone involved in organising how the letters are sent out as it would imply that there is some strange systemic error occuring.

    Very strange indeed.

As advised, the OP should be contacting Royal Mail if they think that post has gone missing.

Royal Mail can then suitably investigate.

I wonder if this is because the appointment letters come from the job centre itself and the sanction letters are issued from the benefit delivery centre?
If it is like it was on JSA (I worked in a benefit delivery centre till 2007) there is a job centre system and the legacy system for the benefit processing. I saw some cases where info on the 2 systems didn't match.
I would ask them to double check your contact details on the job centres system and the dwp benefit system, they should be able to check the notes for you and arrange a new appointment.

But the OP only knows of one case of this happening. A certain amount of post does go missing, so Royal Mail will offer the OP an apology but their one case would not start an investigation.

You are right, the OP should fill in the online 'missing post' form as it helps Royal Mail with statistics, but he will just receive a standard automated reply. (I know a bit about this, both because I had a problem with my post for a while and because a close family member of mine has held senoir positions in central management for Post Office and Royal Mail).

If ESA knows this is a common occurance, he should inform someone involved in jobcentres, as they would then be able to get the situation investigated.

That would explain it! (and incidently, makes a good example for explaining systemic error - if I ever start tutoring again I might use it).
