Why don't you just ring them and explain (calmly) that you did not receive the letter and make another appointment over the phone? Then you will know when it is.

You don't just get an appt letter.... you also get a reminder call a day or 2 before your interview to remind you... have the JC got your up to date number?
You are also sent a letter telling you that you have seven days to contact the JC.... only if there is no response, can they sanction you.
Under ESA, they will only sanction you if enough evidence has been supplied to show that both letters have been sent & that attempts have been made to telephone you...
Oops!! Should I have posted this??? Some users don't think I shouldn't be offering advice due to my occupation!!!

Also.. you do not have to fill in 'loads of forms' nor 'wait weeks' - the sanction will be lifted as soon as you attend - no form filling required.

Therefore, take seven day week's advice & just ring the JC - they will book you in for the next available appt & your sanction will be lifted from that day.

Its amazing the amount of people that only get the letters telling them their benefit is sanctioned and not the ones saying what they have to do.

Call Royal Mail and let them know there is a problem with your post. You can also arrange to pick up your post at another address or the Jobcentre itself.

This is rude and unhelpful. Are you just trying to stir up trouble?

Post goes missing all the time, or perhaps the job centre made a mistake?

I was simply remarking on how many times it seems to happen that benefit claimants dont get the letter telling them to go to an interview but always seem to receive the next letter saying that their benefit has been sanctioned.

I made no comment on anyones integrity.

I even gave helpful advice in saying that the problem of mail going missing en route to the OP address should be reported to Royal Mail. This link should be of a little help too http://www.royalmail.com/portal/rm/jump3?catId=400144&mediaId=15500181 .

Honestly, there is just no helping some people.

ESA, you should be thanked for the amount of impartial excellent advice you give, not having to explain a comment you made that was very true.
