Selling Meadow Hay
Comments
-
A relative of mine looked into bagging up hay like this but had tremendous problems with mould or something, and it was unusable. Maybe keep the money aside until you are sure that there will be no problems. (I'm not trying to put you off, as obviously there are companies that do this successfully, but I don't know of anyone who sells it like this eg from a farm roadside by the eggs, and it makes me wonder why):heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0

For info, our farm sells this, through the post office for £2 a bag.0

I am hoping to get into selling Meadow Hay for rabbits etc on ebay. I can get it bagged up ok in 2Kg bags but I am stuck as to how to send it. Would I need to put the poly bag in a cardboard box and then send it? Also would I use royal mail for this and what would it cost?
I am stuck on as to how to progress it. I see plenty of other sellers doing this but I don't have the knowledge in this particular area.
Most grateful for any assistance.
Regards

I would be a bit wary of putting it in poly bags if the weather is warm, as it would possibly sweat and make the hay mouldy?0

I thought I'd seen this topic before, I was going to post a link, but it turns out it was you a couple of months ago. :rotfl:This is my opinion. There are many others like it but this is mine:kisses2: Fiancee of the "lovely" DaveAshton :kisses2:I am a professional ebay seller. I work hard at my job, I love my job, if you think it's silly that's your problem not mine.0

I have attached a picture. Be interested to know how you think I should go about trying to sell it and package it up etc.
Any comments most appreicated.
I wouldn't waste my time selling something like that on eBay. I sell small stuff on e-Bay and larger items I sell on small ad websites, I get a good response from them and they are free to use, and people are more likely to be on the lookout for something like meadow hay on them than on eBay.
Try the following sites:
www.gumtree.co.uk
www.freeads.co.uk
www.adtrader.co.uk
You might want to resize your image before you post an ad on any of these sites, you can do that on http://www.resizeyourimage.com/

How much is it?? We go through loads of it with our family of guinea pigs
I have never actually thought about looking on sites like Ebay for it, I just normally nip to Pets At Home.If At First You Don't Succeed, Call It Version 1.00 -
Thanks for merging the threads. The reason why I did a new thread was due to the pic. it views ok over HTTP but not when uploaded.
I am selling the bags of hay at work for £3.
They are £6 in some shops.
i just want to know if it is going to be worth it's while.0
