I am trying to sell Meadow Hay on Ebay. I have got it all bagged up etc but don't really know how to go around arranging delivery or courier.
I have attached a picture. Be interested to know how you think I should go about trying to sell it and package it up etc.
Any comments most appreicated.

So......
That's what a bag of hay looks like.
Is it life sized?0 -
Is 2ft tall....0

A bag like that in Focus is about £5-£6. The cost of the hay is about 0.50p.....0

What is the weight?0

If you write on listing any of these phases
"cash on collection", "buyer must collect", "collection only", "no postage", "pick up only", "unable to post", "needs to be collected", "Collection in Person only", "can't post"))
will get picked up if they use local bargain finder. https://www.localbarginfinder.co.uk .
You might be better putting a card up in a newsagents near a pet shop save on listing fees for a start.0 -
Just be careful that keeping it too long in a sealed plastic bag might start the hay sweating (especially in this hot wather) and turning into similar to silage.0

Ok thanks.
The weight is 2Kg.
do you think i could sell it on Ebay?
How would I get it dispatched? Assume it would need to go into another box?0 -
I think you seriously need to think if there is enough profit in it for ebay. If the £5 to £6 a bag mentioned above is accurate then taking into account postage your buyers aren't going to want to pay more than pennies for a bag. You could of course do it as a collection only, but even then a buyer can insists on paying by paypal which will cost you money in fees.
This might be one of those items that is betetr to sell locally in the small ads.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
