    Hi there

Sorry to hear your dad became ill, and that they did not pay out.

I would write to complain and reclaim with all his reasons, below is a guideline link with useful information and template letters, just write your dad's reasons.

Sometimes their first response is just a standard one, and they state that he must have known about the PPI, because he signed for it, blah blah, but then you should be given another opportunity to write back for them to reconsider.

In the final response, they should give details of the Financial ombudsman service (FOS) if your not satisfied with the outcome.
Good luck and post by recorded delivery, and post up for help when required.;)

It sounds as though the policy was not fit for the purpose it was sold. Yet another rip off ppi plan.
I am a former Broker, former IFA and former compliance officer, for my sins.

However, I have since seen the light.
  • Thanks for coming back to me, will this letter still be a good letter to send when they never new they even took the ppi until a letter date. I know they paided over £4000 in ppi plus the had massive bank charges to.

I am Sorry to hear about this, and can only agree with what has already been said.

The Key to winning with Lloyds is to set the points out in the first letter and send copies of everything in with the first letter.

then do the same (including a copy of the first letter) when you get to the second letter stage.

if you would like any help, or need advice specifically tailored ot Lloyds TSB feel free to PM me (message) or look at the thread (see my signature)

    Hope it goes ok.
