my boiler is coming up for 11yrs old, and for the price we paid for it new, i think weve had a good innings, seeing as BG reckon any combi will only last 10yrs (that includes their recommended worcester bosch ones at 3 times the price)

We are on a British Gas Homecare 200 (about £30 per month) and have lived here over 3 yrs. The Biasi boiler is about 9-10 yrs old. We have had 2 new circuit boards over 3 yrs, and always seem to have a problem with the heating not coming on when on timer unless the hot tap is run, now have it on override timer "thermostatically controlled" (not always good as either cold in am or heating pops on during the night, phew!). Now last night....no hot water....boiler fires up and heating is on....water runs tepid downstairs and cold upstairs. :mad: British Gas man just been and said needs new diaphragm (altho several blogs say thats rare, BG man hardly going to strip it down and clean it) so now wait for part till tomorrow and no hot water and more time off work to be here for him tomorrow. He did say Biasi boilers are not the best, very polite of him! I would never buy one, when this goes eventually (prob sooner rather than later) its the old story you only get what you pay for so a Worcester ;)it will be, mounted in the loft with auto reignition if the pilot goes out. They are dear but wholesale is available if you search online. Hope this helps.:D
