We all really say, once you've cleaned your chalet & remembered to take slippers. You'll have a great time!

My main problem was my granddaughter wanted to dance all night & didn't want to go to bed until the end.

    Have a lovely time!

Holidays are what you make it, I went to Pontins growing up and looking back the chalets were very basic and the food wasnt great. But I didnt notice that once when I was a kid because I had a great time.

Go feeling positive, look through the entertainment book when you arrive and get stuck in to everything :j

we went in feb half term. the kids loved it and the entertainment was good. we found it hard to get in the family entertainment room due to all the bingo players. so we stayed in the adult room til 10 when things seemed to get a bit much for my 2 and 4 year old. we had a brill time. i looked at reviews and was a bit put off about going but i;m glad we went. to be honest its not modern or anything but its fine. and i suppose if you are very very up on cleaning then it might be a bit yuk to some but if like me your use to camping in a tent, you just get on with it. hope you have a fab time. we just got back from southport pontins today. which was really good too
  • I think Pontins is great for the kids as long as you dont look to closely at the apartments and the state of them LOL

Cheap all round holidays no frills at all in budget accom but hey, if you just want somewhere to put your head down for the night and are going to be out all day its fine :)

It's not so bad. Okay, it aint the Ritz but you really do get what you pay for. A lot of the time, it's all about your mentality. If you start picking holes in the place, you're not going to enjoy it.

But if you put your fun hat on, and accept it for what it is, you'll have a great time. And remember if the kids are having fun, that's all that really matters.
    Mmmm, doughnuts

Captainbeaker - We stayed at Talacre Beach last June and thoroughly enjoyed our stay as did our 1 year old. We stayed in one of their cottages which was excellent and would highly recommend. The swimming pool was lovely and warm but it was just a pool no slides or anything etc. The site is very large and exceptionally clean and tidy. In June there was not much entertainment but we really just used it as a base for exploring the area. We will be returning one day.
