Just rang Virgin Media

I've just rang Virgin Media to cancel my analogue tv and phone. I've decided to go with a Sky package! They gave me alot of earache about why I was changing and insisted that they would have been cheaper.
The package I have with Sky is the following:
TV - variety pack, 4 extra packs + Sky Sports bundle £38.50
Broadband - 2mb Free
Phone - Free evening and weekend £10 line rental.
So a total of £48.50, would Virgin really be able to better this, they didn't when I rang them! They insist that that's because I didn't say I was cancelling but I hadn't decided then.

just had a call from their sales dept trying to flog me tv/phone (i already pay £31/mon for the 20mb broadband)
for £36/mon in total (plus 49.99 install fee) i'll be getting V+ HD box, landline (free evening calls?) and 20mb broadband. not bad to say i was paying £37.50/month for 20mb at my old house
