Thanks but i can't load IE at all it just brings up the stop responding box and i can't click on anything without having to close it by agreeing to do so.

Oops sorry forgot i can by going through the no add ons.

Thankyou very much hotkee(and everyone else who helped) it looks like it was something to do with the kiwee toolbar which i thought it was after reading about it on microsofts help pages.The only thing now is yes i can get onto IE fine but MSN isn't working still,still getting the not responding message and it shuts down without checking for a solution.

I take it by MSN you mean you have homepage set to MSN?

You could try going into the no addon mode again, double check every other addon you have and also set your homepage to google or something. Clear your temp cache as well.

And restart IE with the normal start menu icon and see if it comes up with something then.

Uninstall and re-install it - best bet.

Before re-installing - get a new copy http://download.live.com/?sku=messenger

I have not been a fan of MSN messenger but this version with Windows Live Mail seems cool enough.
