My daughters laptop isn't working, well the internet i should say after it automatically updated earlier today. When first put on the message said something about py32 which is python and i think that has something to do with service pack 2 which is on my pc's windows updates still to do.

Anyone help with this and help with me being able to get the new back on to the laptop?

Thanks
Darren

Hi not sure but when it loads up the IE won't load at all keeps saying it's going to close and will tell us of the problem and solution(Which it doesn't)

I've tried doing a system restore but that fails to work either.

    Thanks

You could try rebooting, press F8 and select last known working option from the menu - see if that does anything - suspect not.

Or reboot into safe mode and see if then ie works - it could be numerous things, some add on not working, virus, spyware - run some checks.

And you will need to note the exact error message.

Thanks i'll give them a try in a minute.I tried loading it again just now and all it says is pywin32 error and then you close that and you get a message asking if you really want to turn off the wireless connection.

It kind of sounds you have some extension added.

Try running explorer without extensions with the

    -extoff

    option in the command line.

There is a shortcut in Program->Accessories->System Tools->IE without extensions

thats meant to run ie without extensions the name suggests.

If it works with -extoff ok, then that suggestions you have some extension / addon installed thats the root cause.

    Tools->Manage Addons

to find out what you have installed - disable one at a time to find the culprit if its not too obvious.

Its on the internet explorer window itself.

Oh hang on I bet you cant see the menu bar (thats thanks to Mickysoft's bright idea to hide the menu bar).

Right click at the top of the IE window (somewhere along your favourites bar or tabs bar) and select Show Menu.

From the menu go to tools->add ons
