On the Orange 1000 tariff, with cashback that made it free in the longterm, and never got the phone; Have any of you just received the same email I did?
Dear Mr Cactus Jack (edited, obviously) :P
We have had an excellent take up on our new deals so far...so much so that the D600 have already sold out. We do however have 250 V3's available, remember this offer is on a strict first come first served basis so email back now to secure your deal.
Kind Regards
e2save.com
An odd email, eh? No details or anything. I replied stating my dissapointment with not getting the D600 and to please reserve a V3 until I read what the offer is. Now, I know the V3 is much inferior to the D600 but I do want a new phone.
But its like they're trying to rush me into having one..and I'm not even sure I want a V3.
BUT, it seems as though they've admitted they sold out of D600's in this email today, whereas when my order was cancelled I was told it was because Orange had withdrawn the tariff.
I'm really getting angry with E2Save over this fiasco. Has anyone complained yet, and did anything come of it?

to be honest i had reservations when i initially ordered the d600 and eventually my order like everyone else (except the lucky few) got cancelled. I replied to the email today thinking thats very nice of e2save (customer service etc) asking for if i wanted the d600 and then got that v3 offer instead. I have to say i feel they are trying to just shift v3's and nothing else. Very disappointed.ummm...0

I got the exact same email. Im just trying to think of something witty as a reply. e2save have shot themselves in the foot this time. Previously I used to consider e2save to be very reliable.....0

They haven't replied to my return email. I'm very much considering writing a letter of complaint now asking why one email said the tariff was ended and another said the D600 sold out. They could at least offer a new D600 to keep customers happy, particularly since I am a repeat E2Save customer.
I'm also considering contacting Watchdog, but I doubt anything will happen unless they get a rush of complaints.0 -
Maybe its genuine... end of day the website says its limited stock. if its first come first served then there may not be enough stock to meet demand... it happens.... In fact it happens ALOT on links that get posted around these forums, things go very quickly..... this includes non mobile related links I have seen
If they have no d600's they have probably offered the v3 as an alternative to save disappointment of no deal at all, the v3 is a VERY popular handset still and exclusive to e2save (cpw) in certain colours.... they are not forcing you to take the deal. Its merely an offer!
Are you really that annoyed that you think they are pulling the wool because you got conflicting emails? People are too quick nowadays to fire off complaints.... If you dont want it, just tell them you dont want it and ask them to cancel the order. Complaining probably wont get you very far, like they say in the email, they dont have the stock so doesnt sound like there is much they can do!:beer:0 -
In response to K9Coop whilst i agree with some of his points, i would like to point out if e2save allegedly have no d600's on the orange network on clearence then how comes they are advertising them on their website at the moment?

I'd agree with K9Coop too, I do expect good offers to be sold out quickly, but I don't appreciate the company lying to me about it.
Firstly, E2Save claimed that the tariff was being withdrawn by Orange and that is why I can't have my phone. Then I see on here people apparently have still seen the same tariff on sale on other sites.
Then I get an email that seems to admit the D600 clearence phone sold out. Then I see the above link that D600 phones are still being sold on E2saves website.
So it all seems like they sold too many of the D600 clearence phones with the good tariff and amazing cashback deal. Somehow, it stayed on the site after they'd sold as many as they intended; that is certainly how it appears to me.
Too bad they'll probably get away with it..and probably do it again..0 -
Howz about asking for the v3x instead?0

the v3 is worth maybe as much as half the d600.
what is annoying about this deal is that they shoud not accept orders after they finish their stick, it cant be difficult to moniter orders and remove the item from the website.
i am prettyy sure most of knew we werent gettiung our phones when we got the intial email.0 -
Yippeee....e2save just called me within the last half hour offering me the Samsung D600 on the original deal! I hope everyone else that wants one gets the call!0
