  • Last time petrol prices were over the £1 mark in my area of Scotland the price of a barrel of oil was around $130 now the price of a barrel currently stands at $60 to $70 a barrel. Is it just me or are we living on a different planet to the oil companies!

Its blatant profiteering, there is no justification for the price increases

Last time oil was $30 a barrel, petrol was about 80p per litre.

Now oil is over double that price, how come petrol price hasn't increased accordingly?

Petrol is suggested to hit over $3 a gallon in the US by 4th July, about twice what it was when oil was only $30 a barrel. (it's already over $2.50 a gallon)

The government and oil companies continue to make billions out of the cash cow motorists.... still alternative fuel vehicles are becoming more and more viable all the time..... of course they will get taxed to the max eventually as well.
