Well done Winky and Darling.
Add 4p in tax, then screw the exchange rate so the barrels of oil cost more in dollars...
Then add on 15% VAT for good measure...0 -
I'm using my 5% discount card to keep it below £1 ,but come on gordon,
how's about a little extra for the taxpayer.
we're working hard paying your wages, mr brown !:money:0 -
There is already an existing thread discussing this very subject, why duplicate it?
exactly, last night i used the search feature of this forum to dig up a thread from the other week to add my recent findings about fuel. you will find it here.
how come MSE guy never does this?...work permit granted!0 -
Just in time for the summer holiday period !!
Same as last year.
The oil market anticipates a rise in demand over the summer for america also hence the price is bid up before it even occurs
If the stockmarkets become gloomy again and people realise the gdp of major consumers like america will not turn positive this year then the price of oil will probably drop back, but its not going to be $30 a barrel long term imo0 -
Why dont we car drivers do something this time instead of leaving it all to the haulage industry?
Because....
....at the end of the day, we're all positively screwed.
Due to the state the countrys already in, there will be no cut in fuel duty. All we'd do is end up on an anti-terrorism charge and a criminal record.0 -
yes but have you noticed diesel has hardly gone up and its now only 2p a litre dearer rather than 10p a litre dearerHi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0
