Eu law states the retailer HAS TO give you a 6 year guarentee to fix faulty items
THIS APPLIES FOR EVERYTHING THAT IS FAULTY
So if anything goes wrong in 6 years of you buying the item you can take it back and get it fixed free of charge

EU law creates a minimum period of two years in which a faulty product can be returned, and in England and Wales the figure is six years.0

It only applies if the fault is a manufacturing fault. You might well have difficulty proving that.0
