If were naming those who are thread wreckers and contribute nothing but the same old sound bites, the list would look something like this:
Downey
Neopleon
FatPig
FoxtonsRIP
robin banks
Dervish
Wookie - I have not inlcuded you, even though you tend to get on my nerves a bit (like right now for example) you do make some useful contributions every now and then, unlike the above.0 -

I normally agree with everything you say as well however, the people on that list are all wreckers. They cannot have a sensible conversation at all, in my experience anyways.
Well you're right about part of it.
I've never had a sensible conversation with you.
But (IMO) that is because you don't like me putting across different views to yourself. Too often you interpret the challenge to be a personal sleight or over-react to a cheap dig and then lose it.... yet you seem to be able, and expect to be allowed, to dish it out!
Hypocritical IMO.

"House Prices Level After 20 Months Of Falls
House prices were unchanged in May for the first time in 20 months, further supporting claims that the housing market is beginning to stabilise.
Housing market analysis group Hometrack said the average cost of a home in England and Wales stayed the same from April to May at £155,600. Only 13% of postcode districts reported price falls, compared with 58% in January, the company said.
It was the first time in 20 months the survey had not registered a month-on-month decline in prices."
Fill your boots, this one's going to the moon!(*)

Oh BTW I do not have a BTL.'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. A single market without barriers visible or invisible giving you direct and unhindered access to the purchasing power of over 300 million of the worlds wealthiest and most prosperous people' Margaret Thatcher0 -

I agree: but if the other side doesn't care to resolve things, surely a viable alternative is to ignore the baiting comments/things that are disagreeable rather than henpeck back and make disparaging remarks?
Anyway, I was tryin to express gratitude for this way of dealing with things: as what has been happening is vile, sees fewer and fewer people contributing to the discussion nd makes for a poorer environment for all.0 -

Hometrack said the steadiness in the average price, which stayed at £155,600, was caused by a rise in sales and a shortage of supply. It said the number of buyers registering with estate agents was up 21% in the three months to May while the number of new properties on the market only increased by 2.5%.

How do you get the cause being shortage of supply looking like the market is being flooded with properties?!
People are clinging on at the moment. I know two people who had their hous eon the market and have now taken it off the market until "it rises next year"
One of these people had their house valued triple what they paid for it just 6 years previous, but was disgusted to think they may have to lower their profits. So they are now not selling.
Personally I think this is rife across the country, people holding onto their equity, waiting for prices to go up again...hence lack of properties on the market.
Starting to notice some good houses round my way though, may be time to start actually thinking of moving sometime next year, although I didnt plan too. Generally the ones shifting on property bee have had 30% wiped off their initial asking price....obviously don't know the actual selling price.0 -

To be fair, these percentages mean nothing without know what they are a percentage of.
21% more buyers could actually be less than 2.5% more properties.:wall:
What we've got here is....... failure to communicate.
Some men you just can't reach.
