Hi, regarding the Amazon credit card - do I need to spend £1500 to get a £15 voucher?

'When you have earned 1500 points, you will receive a £15 Amazon gift certificate to spend at Amazon.co.uk.'

Doesn't seem that good an offer, or am I missing something?

When I signed up it offered a free £15 voucher, not sure if it did for you. But you get it when you have made a first purchase. They send it via email to the email address you used to apply.
    Nice to save.

...a FREE night at any of the Express by Holiday Inn hotels...Details for applications availible here

Just wanted to re-iterate this deal. Priority Club is the Holiday Inn loyalty scheme, they're forever throwing points into your account when you stay with them. The 10,000 points can be used for one free night at one of the regular Express hotels, or towards a stay in a Holiday Inn or Crowne Plaza. Highly recommended to anyone who has to stay away from home.

Although the credit card itself could be described as ordinary with regard to interest rates etc., I have noticed that the hotel check-in staff go that little bit further when you produce "their" card.
  • Re : bmibaby credit card

I have just obtained authorisation to book my free flight (for the initial use of the card).

Unfortunately the only flights I am being offered are ones that are also available for free to everyone via the main web site!

So this freebie would appear to be worthless
  • I've been looking for 'freebie' cards for my girlfriend who, infuriatingly, will NEVER use a credit card but insists on having one "for emergencies".
I'm of the opinion she may not be human...

Anyway, as well as the offers mentioned here I came across these citibank card offers, which would suit travellers or folks who fancy a free 'shuffle' (careful):

    What the freebie is?
citi platinum mastercard: free iPod shuffle
BMIbaby card: free flight to Europe
citi AAdvantage Gold card: 5,000/20,000 AA (American Airlines) airmiles

What you need do to qualify for it?
Not sure of the t+c, but they seem fairly standard Mastercard and Visa cards...

Is it generally available or only through a special link?
Here's the link to all three:
    http://www.citibank.co.uk/personal/cards/

The AAdvantage one is of particular interest:
    http://www.citibank.co.uk/personal/cards/cards_aadvan.htm
...as it includes the chance to accrue 20,000 airmiles (just use it for 1000 pounds of everyday spending between now and 31st December, paying it off immediately of course) and the eligibility to buy a 40,000 miles flight (USA, Mexico, Carribean) with those (20,000) miles...
    ...that is, free trans-atlantic flight!

Any idea how long it's available for?
All three offers are on till December 1st 2006

Any details on the interest rate of the card?
    platinum: 16.9
    BMIbaby: 15.9
    AAvantage: 17.4

...but you're not going there, are you? :):):)
