Hi everybody,
Need some advice on my CPW contract, which runs from Jan 09 for 18 months. I have found myself in a position where I can not afford my monthly repayments due to being made unemployed. I have tried to communicate this to CPW who inform me that they cannot assist, despote me being a customer for over 5 years, and will neither downgrade the contract or terminate it early without me having to cough up £500 termination fees. Has anybody any experience of this? and if so is there anything I can do at all? They have told me that the situation will be passed directly to a debt agency, which I do not see as beneficial for them or me, and is not good business if they want to me to go back to them in the future. Another issue is that I have just moved address, and there is no 02 signal at all at the new property, is this cause for complaint with CPW? Any help would be much appreciated.

Apologies for being made unemployed..
Unfortunately you will probably get no where. A contract is just that, and you are expected to honour it. I constantly hear customers saying 'well ive been a customer for 5 years', however it counts for nothing when it comes to you asking them a favour unfortunately.

As O2 do not even permit you the ability to assign your contract to someone else, you only hope is to find a trusted family member or friend who can take on the commitment until the time comes to terminate. This is another reason why tying yourself down to a phone commitment remains bad new for most, as without 100% clairvoyance, it is just a problem waiting to happen.0
