Am a newbie and been reading through the pages and think all your work is lovely. I'm a florist as well as a nappy cake maker so if anyone has any trouble finding a supply of anything in particular email me and I may be able to help especially on the sundries side. i use around 3 or 4 online wholesalers who only supply to trade so I may be able to order for you especially if you're in the London area0

Lizalloareds and Kelly Lou, the blanket and bear are both from Asda. The bear is actually a comforter, they do them in pink, cream and blue

Some fabulous cakes here - really inspiring stuff! Well done, ladies!
Hoping someone can throw some ideas around for me. Have just been asked to do a neutral, 3-tier cake, without nappies, as the person it's going to is going to be using real nappies.
The budget is £40. What can I put in there to keep its shape & look good?
Was thinking of maybe getting different sized cake / hat boxes & filling those with goodies, then wrapping the blankets around.
Anyone have any other ideas?0 -
Hi Mice_Elf, blankets - fleece and cellular and maybe a towel too if the budget will allow. Bodysuits rolled like nappies would fill most of the bottom tier.
If you used a towel on the middle one, I don't think you would need to put anything else inside. Same for top tier-use cellular blanket or muslins with a card support inside and fill.
I have often thought of using cot/pram sheets but they can be quite expensive.0 -
That's a good idea - the middle section could be just a rolled blanket.
Bodysuits would probably need a little extra support as they won't keep their shape as easily as the nappies, but it's definitely worth a try. Maybe add some cake supports for the tiers. Hmm..I've got until next month, but will need to play around with this one to try to get it to look good.0 -

The cream range they have in Wilkinsons(Elly and Raff) have matching Cot Blanket / Pram Blanket and Cuddle Robe(Towel) It's a really nice range and I think the Cot Blanket is about £6.
You could put the cot on bottom then Towel then pram on top Tier.0 -
I shall pop into the closest Wilkinsons to have a look. Thanks very much!0
