hello, i really want to get hold of some burp clothes, silicone cupcake cases, and baby washclothes. I finally made it over to poundland and it was rubbish in there! They had a set of 1 bib and 1 burp cloth (obviously £1), but i read that some of you get 6 for £1 in there, the same with washcloths and they are expensive on ebay and was hoping they would have those silicone moulds (the butterfly and the other one which has flown out my brain as i type). Tried asda and they didnt have any, i so want to get on with trying new things but can't, its bloomen frustrating. Can anyone reccomend somewhere please?

    Hi
Just to let you know Asda has some silicone cupcakes in ,They are £2 for 12 in a lovely pink, blue and lemon colour in the pack

Hello, newbie here, have been looking to buy a gift basket for a friend who is having a surprise baby shower on Sat. and I will not be able to go so wanted something nice but not too expensive.
I had a look at a couple of sites selling the gift baskets but have to say they seemed to cost a lot of money for what was in them, so came here to have a look for ideas of doing my own basket.
I stumbled across this thread and have to say you are all great at what you do, the photos are an inspiration, and have decided to have a go at making my own (more original than a basket IMHO). I wanted to say thanks to the poster who put a link on to the youtube instructions as I was at a loss as to how to roll the nappies!!!
I am going shopping tomorrow to get some bits, so hopefully I will be able to post some pics and you can tel me your honest opinion before I actually give it to friend, thanks xx

Not sure if the teddy actually goes with the rest of the cake? think it is the pink on the top which makes me think that. Still it will have to do now as I have wrapped it and need to deliver it tomorrow! eek!

lrlrip, your cake is beautiful, the brown ribbon really sets it off.

  • Hi all,

Did finish my cake before my hols and my friend loved it, she'd never seen one before. I have a pic of it. It did get a bit battered during the drive, but I took the pic before I sorted it out when we got there! The ribbons didn't seem to want to keep in place.
But it seems that all her friends think it's a wonderful idea! They haven't seen them before either. Kind of itching to do another as I have ideas of how to improve it.
