And they've discontinued that Peter Rabbit which is why it would have been sold off cheaply. The new ones are alot more expensive!

Fabulous cakes Popkins, the neutral one is my fave it's gorgeous.
  • Quick thing regarding the tube method of wrapping...
if you lay it flat and make 1cm cuts every 5cm or so along the bottom line them fix a good quality double sided tape (i use sellotape brand) then take backing off as you roll the cake board on its side along so that you stick it to the back. Then put right way up and insert the cake. This is how I do it. Hope that makes sense. Is quite quick and the easiest way of doing it that I have found.
  • I am on the verge of making my first nappy cake as one of my friends is having a surprise baby shower next week. As she does not know the sex of the bubba I would like to do a neutral one in creams/browns. Does anyone know of any shops that currently have some nice blankets/towels/clothes in these colours?
    Thanks!

  • Me again. Do you guys use wooden dowels in your nappy cakes to hold them together? Does anyone have any instructions on how to make a nappy cake, or can point me in the direction of a good web page? I'm sure this has been discussed on this thread before, but don't have time to trawl back through it all :)

Well today I've taken the plunge and started to advertise my cakes. I've only made a couple so far but absolutely love making them and shopping for the 'ingredients'. Hope this doesn't mean I'm getting broody!! :o
