can you upgrade with o2 direct if you have CPW o2?

My Fiance’s contract with CPW o2 ends in August but his phone has died. I know that CPW would probably upgrade it for him now but he wants to move to o2 direct because CPW seem to have terrible customer service now a days and they tell a lot of lies!

If he phones o2 direct will they be able to upgrade his phone? Or will he have to wait for his contract to end to get his PAC code so he can port his number and start a new contract?

Nope, if you deal with CPW customer service then you are a CPW customer. o2 are just the airtime provider so you won't appear on the systems. Generally, if you took a CPW contract out a while ago, you'd be a CPW customer. Nowadays o2 deal with them all if they are new from CPW.

You'd have to get your PAC code from CPW then come to o2.
