    I love it!

    And could not agree more. If Arnie could muster up some strength and move Santa Monica down to Sand Diego there would be absolutely no reason whatsoever to visit LA.

    ......Well apart from Universal.

    Whats the weather like in LV in December ? , It snowed last year and the airport was closed .
    Florida is a good bet for weather at that time of year , the Gulf coast is lovely as are the Keys

    I think we was going to try and make vegas our nye port of call though, id quite happily stay there for the whole 10 days but is my hubby that wants to go else where!

    Thats a great itinery and i have done much the same BUT I am not so sure it is a good idea in DEC/Jan particularly Yosemite and of course ONLY 3 days in Vegas!!!!

    A few problems spring to mind.

    Tioga pass will deff be closed for a start so Yosemite will be a waste of time. You won't get further than the rangers box - if you even get passed Mariposa.

    Second - One of the most beautiful places in the whole USA in winter is Lake Tahoe, you have completely missed it off. The OP if driving from San Fran would be far far better heading straight to Lake Tahoe and Reno from SFO.

    Sturll I was just posting what we did just the other week as an idea!

    Forgot about time of year for OP....but it gives her an idea of places..

    Tahoe for sure will be a lovely place to go.
