USA Inspiration needed

Me and my new hubby have decided to take a late honeymoon in December this year (over the xmas and new year period). Hopefully for 10-14 nights to USA. We are certain that we want to go to Vegas for part of the holiday but would also like to visit somewhere else. Due to the time of year we dont have a clue where would be a good place to twin the holiday with.

Any inspiration would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Claire

I would recommend San Diego staying either Downtown or La Jolla. It's possible to get some great acommodation deals in San Diego using hotwire or Priceline. It's also driving distance from LA and Vegas. If you would like more info, I'll be happy to help!

Absolutely, and definitely San Diego over LA.

I'll add a vote for San Diego! :j

Last month we did a two week trip las Vegas, Grand Canyon, LA and San Diego - of these San Diego is the one place we'd really love to return to.

I could spend weeks in Vegas as there's so much to see and do there but also there's lots around..eg. Grand Canyon, Red Rock Canyon, Lake Mead & Hoover Dam Mt, Charleston, Valley of Fire..then there's shops!! If you've never done West Coast before, San Diego is lovely and maybe Palm Springs. I'm not keen on LA as it's so spread out and has no heart but Newport Beach is nice as are some other beach resorts (Santa Monica). Hollywood is quite seedy and there's not much there.
For 10-14 nights stick with Vegas and San Diego.

Make sure you plan NOT to be in Vegas for NYE as room rates are insanely expensive and there are massive crowds so you wouldn't see it at its best or be able to move around easily.
