But is your day, and you want it your way. All brides do, surely you are allowed to feel selfish?
I know I would be:rotfl::heartpulsOnce a Flylady, always a Flylady:heartpuls0 -

MFG, just worry about you and OH on the day - as I've said myself - this is the one day of your life you're allowed to think of you and you only! the guests should be there to support you because they love you. Make a point to let them all know (so as to avoid singleing anyone out - i.e. your witch of a cousin!) that you would like them to fit in with your plan for the day, as you're requests are only small ones anyway, and to leave the drama at home for that one day, and if not, then they should think twice about coming!
Good luck, but I'm sure it'll all work out in time for the big day anyway!...Money spending expert since 1983....0 -

Emma, exactly my point: I only made one request and it was for her to wear black. Apparently, she cannot be bothered so why should she have any attention on the day?

Sounds like she has some growing up to do, no matter what age she is!
Tell her and your mum, that if she's not in black on the morning of the wedding, she will be asked on the day to relinquish her duty to someone else. (I'm sure you could have someone on stand by to step in - there'll be a few men wearing a dark suit no doubt). As for the comments about your friend - that is just rude! She should learn to only speak of somebody as you'd speak to them directly. If she called me that, I'd have thumped her! :rotfl:Love MSE, Las Vegas and chocolate!0 -
I always believed to not speak badly of people until you got the opportunity to make up your own mind, as in having met them. Not just judge them on a fact.
My family is extremely size-ist. I showed a pic of my friends to my mom and she went "but they're all fat". So it's not just my cousin. And instead of encouraging me being so open minded about people, I am being made fun of because I actually defend these "fat" people.
Not to worry, I already have someone in mind to be on stand-by to replace the little tw*t and make sure she sits down and keep quiet. He is a professional stuntman/drummer and not to be messed with!
Due to the chief bridesmaid being unreliable, I have had to ask a different bridesmaid to step in as witness... One my family does not know who is (amongst other things, she is my adopted sister) a tattoed, metalhead, pierced, size 16, short haired lesbian. Not that I ahve put her as my witness for this reason, but imagine the uptight people's reactions in my family. LOL"Don't cry, Don't Raise your Eye
