My budget for June is £121.00, but I already know I may struggle to keep within this!!!!

I still have £39.56 of my annual budget (to end May) to play with as well - and having bought yet more milk this morning I'm hoping to not need anything else before I declare my May spends - but I'm not adding that on to my budget for June as I'd just spend it without thinking :rolleyes2

Like others on here I still have 4 of the Mr M vouchers to use, so if I keep to just pennies over the £30 spend I'll have to hand over £100 there.... and I don't buy my milk, most of my bread, or much in the way of F&V from the big supermarkets - and I very much doubt that £20 would cover all that

However, the two voucher shops I've done so far have been helped by shopping for DD at the same time (after deducting the £5 from each my first voucher shop was £14.25, and second shop was £13.57 for food) - so as long as DD wants a reasonable amount each week I might come in on/under budget  The other saving grace may be that I'm considering stocking up on toilet rolls from these vouchers - I got one large pack with the second voucher, and reckon I'll have enough for the rest of the year I get 3 more, so that's almost £15 covered of one spend and these come out of a different budget ;)

    Hi everyone,
I'm a returner to MSE, for some reason I was pretty good as a student but have got worse since &need to get back on track if I'm going to survive the summer holidays (I'm a teacher who boredom-spends!) So, put me down for £120 for the first month please. I know it's a lot for just me but no need to start too big ;)
    Month starts tomorrow.
    Good luck all

Can you put me down for £35 please - I may be mad  but I have quite a bit of stuff in and as I came in comfortably under my £50 May challenge, I thought I'd up the ante a bit :D!

Hiya, I have never done the grocery challenge before but I'm going to give it a go as I'm always frittering money on food. My aim is £150 for the month for 3 adults, one toddler and one dog. Good luck everyone

    Hi All,

Many thanks to pink and MrsM for all their hard work setting up this thread.

My June budget started on 22nd and have already visited our new MrT three times(!) and paid my milk bill so quite a bit gone already.

Am determined to stick to budget this month. DS1, DD and DS2 going to their Nans tonight for a sleepover and DH going out with his newly single DB for a curry (diff. budget), so only me to feed tonight. Might just grab some pasta with pesto - nommy.

DH has been off these last few days as it's half term, which is why I've had to go shopping so much. What I can eek out for me and the children over a few meals, he will eat in one! He's back at work today so we've had packet noodles for lunch - 4 of us eating for 38p!!

Good luck for June everyone - we can do this :T

    Hi all,

I'm going to try again as I did try the challenge last year but then I got pregnant. Now due date is closing and I'm worried how much money I'll have while on maternity leave.

Please could you put me down for £125 for 2 adults. Technically my month starts today but because I've moved standing orders around I won't get my money until tomorrow. I suppose it's a good thing. I think I should have enough until the weekend as I made a fish pie last night and will be making cakes tonight. Trying to live out of the pantry instead of buying treats. We'll see how it goes.
