How much damage can they do with your CV details, which does include name and address?

I would not have thought they can do much with your name and address? they must just be making money on the calls? anyone else think the same?
  • I am officially digsusted with the human race right now. I know we do some horrid things but you would think a crisis would bring out the better portions of people.

Apparently not. I also fell into this scam, in the Chelmsford area. Had seen the job listing at my local college job department and thought 'hey might as well give this a shot'.

Had the whole 'call back on this number' then was on the phone for over half an hour before i spoke to someone. Got told that i would have to wait a few weeks before i heard back from them. Then after such i got told to ring back with the 'unique applicant number' with the great news i had been shortlisted down to 50 applicants...and i would have to wait 5 weeks before the interview process would happen.

Well...5 weeks passed last week and still nothing. I lost their number so i wanted to try find it on the web...well i found a lot more didnt i?

I'm honestly about ready to form an angry mob, lord knows there are enough people out there who have been conned, if not are still being conned!

The name 'Andrew Hill' came up as the 'personell manager' who was conducting the interviews.

Thanks guys, seriously. Thanks for preying on peoples insecurities in this time of need and hardship to line your own pockets. I hope that money rots in your hands.

An thanks to MSE for clarifying that this job..is a waste of time.
  • Welcome to MSE adergiman, what a pity it should be because you have had your hopes raised by these people. I agree that this is despicable behaviour.

This sort of thing has been going on for decades: the perpetrators seem to get away with it and each year there are many naive young people who fall for it.

At least with MSE people to help, you should never get caught again.

I wish that Martin could get these job scams stopped.

How is this "company" making money? off the calls? Or is Identity theft going to be an issue here?
